ADDA supports the student movement “Fridays For Future”

Today, March 15, students around the world protested in more than 1,600 cities in 105 countries in demand of the urgent intervention of governments against the impact of global warming.

The movement began in August 2018 after by the 16-year-old Swedish girl, Greta Thunberg, sat in front of the Swedish Parliament to protest against the lack of action on the climate crisis. It was the first step of a world student movement, the so called “Fridays for Future”.

The message this global movement is sending to governments is clear: we must realize that we are facing a climate emergency and that a drastic reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is needed. They denounce how politicians have not been, nor are they up to the challenge posed by climate change.

Ong ADDA, like many other environmental organizations, supports this movement of young people in defense of the future of our Planet and that and any action that helps to drive a change of direction according to scientific indications.
